Normal highs and lows, hot days, cold nights, rain and records for every month, from NOAA's 1991–2020 normals and the National Weather Service's records since 1937.
Each month below has its own guide with hour-by-hour temperatures, packing advice, safety notes and records: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.
How to read this page. A "normal" is the 30-year average for 1991–2020, measured at the National Weather Service climate station at Harry Reid International Airport. "Days ≥ 100°F" is how many days in that month reach at least 100°F in an average year, so 0.3 means roughly one year in three. Record highs and lows come from NWS Las Vegas and cover January 1, 1937 to today. An asterisk in the source means the record has been tied, and we show the most recent date.
In a normal year, Las Vegas averages a high of 80.5°F and a low of 59.6°F, gets 4.18 inches of rain, and has 78.2 days at 100°F or hotter. Conditions on the Strip, in the valley's neighborhoods and up at Red Rock or Mount Charleston can differ from the airport.
