These are the agencies behind the numbers and warnings on this site. We link to them so you can go straight to the source, especially when the weather turns dangerous. None of them is affiliated with us, and none of these listings is paid.

Which one to use, and when

Planning a trip weeks out: start with our month-by-month guide, which is built on the NOAA climate normals listed below.
Within a week of your trip: use the NWS Las Vegas forecast. It is the forecast the local office issues for the valley, and our home page shows it live.
During a heat wave: check NWS HeatRisk for how dangerous the coming days look, and Clark County’s cooling-station list if you or someone you know needs a place to cool off.
During storms: follow NWS Las Vegas for flash flood and severe thunderstorm warnings. Never drive into a flooded road.
