Best time to visit Las Vegas for weather
A month-by-month weather scorecard built only from NOAA's 1991–2020 normals and National Weather Service records.
Short answer: for comfortable weather, visit Las Vegas in March, April, October or November. Normal highs in those months run from 67.1°F to 81.2°F, 100°F days almost never happen, and none of them averages even 3 days of measurable rain. June through September is the extreme-heat season: an average July has 25.8 days at 100°F or hotter. December and January are the coolest months, with normal highs in the 50s.
The numbers come from the NOAA climate station at Harry Reid International Airport. A "normal" is the 1991–2020 average. "Days ≥ 100°F" counts how many days in that month reach 100°F in an average year. Across a normal year Las Vegas averages a high of 80.5°F, 78.2 days at 100°F or hotter, 4.18 inches of rain and 25.8 days with measurable rain.
The question comes up often. One r/vegas thread asked when to go once weather, crowds and events are all weighed. This page answers the weather part with data. Crowds, events and room rates change week to week, so check those for your exact dates.
